Have you ever felt stuck? Like things were going haywire around you but you had no control to make them stop? I had an extremely successful year, from the outside looking in, many assumed I had no problems at all. They couldn't have been more wrong. The truth was, I was losing My mind. I had taken on way more than I could handle and was overwhelmed with the management of it all.

By the time I cleared My plate of all My responsibilities, I was physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted from trying to satisfy the needs of the people who were pulling at Me from different angles. It was past physical exhaustion, I was getting plenty of sleep and self-care time. My soul was drained. I needed a life overhaul.

I spent a lot of money, traveled to Mexico knowing I'd only know one other person there, wouldn't have control of My own diet and other discomforts. I went for personal development and was resistant halfway through the process. Knowing that I was unhappy in certain areas of My life and that only I was responsible for change, I finally gave in and adjusted My mindset on a few things.

Adjusting My mindset allowed Me to come back home and pick up My relationship with My son like we had just spoken yesterday, get rid of the toxic people in My life who were either using Me or slowing Me down, strengthen My relationship with the guy I'm dating and refocus on My work. I had been extremely burnt out before from trying to satisfy the needs of those who were pulling at My from various angles.

I'm grateful to enter 2020 with a new mindset and better relationships with My loved ones. More importantly, I'm excited to enter the new year happier, less stressed and without the problems of so many others weighing Me down. 2020 is not the start of a new year, it's the start of a new decade. The last 10 years, with the exception of the last two, were such a roller coaster ride; I'm determined to make the next ten years, ten of the best years of My life. Are you?
